What the NINE books banned
KUALA LUMPUR: The Home Affairs Ministry has banned nine publications in Malay and one in Arabic on grounds that they can compromise public order.
The titles of the Malay publications are Hakikat Lafadz A.L.L.A.H. (translated and written by Muhyiddin Ibnu Arabi and published by Pustaka Progressif, Indonesia); Dari Zaman Nabi Muhammad Saw Dan Para Sahabat (by KH Abdullah Zakiy AlKaaf and Dr Maman Abdul Djaliel, CV Pustaka Setia, Indonesia); Kisah Tongkat Nabi Musa (by KH Abdullah Zakiy AlKaaf and Dr Maman Abdul Djaliel, CV Pustaka Setia); and Delapan Azab Allah SWT (by KH Abdullah Zakiy AlKaaf and Dr Maman Abdul Djaliel, CV Pustaka Setia).
The others are Jemaat Yang Mengalami Terobosan Strategi-Strategi Apostolik (by Dr Jonathan David, Nafiri Gabriel, Indonesia); Mengapa Kita Mencintai Keluarga Nabi Saw (by Muhammad Kadzim Muhammad Jawad, PT Lentera Basritama, Indonesia); Setetes Rahasia Alam Tuhan Melalui Peristiwa Metafisika AlMi’raj (by KH Bahaudin Mudhary, Penerbit Pustaka Progressif); Quran Menurut Perempuan (by Amina Wadud, PT Serambi Ilmu Semesta, Indonesia); and 40 Hari Khalwat Catatan Harian Seorang Psikologis Dalam Pengasingan Diri Sufistik (by Michaela Ozelsel, Pustaka Hidayah, Indonesia).
The Arab publication is titled AlAudah Ila Alquran (Return to the Quran), written by Kassim Ahmad and published by Maktabah Madbuli AlSaghir of Egypt.
